There’s always one
There’s always one, isn’t there. You ask all the flamingoes to pose with their heads in a bucket and they all do. Apart from one. No, he has to be different; he can’t go along with the crowd. He has to be awkward for the sake of it. Actually, that sounds a bit like me.
W and I had a lovely morning with Bom and GracieG at Pensthorpe Natural Park; a local nature reserve and conservation centre. Lots of different birds to see including these flamingoes and some cranes, a red squirrel breeding programme (although all the red squirrels were keeping their heads down today) and nice walks around the lakes. It’s certainly somewhere we will go back to, so as they offered to refund the entrance fee if we paid for an annual membership we joined up. It was a lovely sunny morning so it was nice to sit outside the cafe at the end of the walk for coffee and a chat; it felt almost ‘normal’!
