2021 Thursday — Forever Friends

On rare occasions when everything aligns — calendars, traveling, what•nots, and doodahs — we get to gather with forever friends AND we remember to take a photo.

This evening was one of those moments as Mr. Fun & I dined with Dick & Karen. Years ago we all attended the same church. Our kids were all young. Life was busy. Then Dick’s wife Trudy died of cancer and 4 months later Karen’s husband Jim died of a brain aneurysm. A year later Dick & Karen married each other.

Time with friends is never enough to do all the talking, all the catching-up, all the filling in the gaps before it’s time to give-up our booth to the next customers.

A friend reunion would be fun, but better than that is knowing we’ll all be together for eternity. How about you? Will you be there with us? We all hope so.
