Afternoon drive

A comfortably busy day, today, inasmuch as there was plenty to do but also ample time in which to do it.

In the afternoon, Dan and I went for a drive, going out to Dent and then back over the tops to Thornton in Lonsdale. We normally take this road from the other direction and, believe me, it's a lot steeper going north to south.

This side of the hills to the north of the A65 is quieter and more sparsely populated as you can see from my photo. The views pull at my heart but I'd go bonkers if I lived here.
