The three go walking in Mote Park
Second jab today. Bit of a hassle getting to the vaccination centre as roadworks jammed up the main road meaning a detour down country lanes.
Back to the hospital for 8.30am with the heart rate monitor, now awaiting a telephone consultation with a consultant - not until 18th June. I hope they look at the results before then and get in touch earlier if there’s something than comes up. Thank you so much for all your concern and good wishes, I’d be relieved, in a way, if the cause could be pinpointed unless I am reassured that something I’ve just got to accept and live with and that it’s not having an adverse effect on the ticker.
Not content with having an easy day we did a Joe Wicks HIIT session when I got back and then after a shower set out for town to collect medical supplies for Doreen which was an excuse for indulging in another coffee in town. Perhaps all this exercise over many years is why the old ticker is complaining?
The walk home provided today’s blip. An oft posted shot of the beech avenue in Mote Park with the resplendent fresh green leaves and the overarching dark branches.
I’m hoping that there’ll be no side effects as I’ve heard that the second dose can cause the immune system to react to the jab. We’ll see.
I managed to repair the our old iron by replacing the flex that was seriously fraying. I had to buy a special screwdriver to get to the gubbins and terminals inside. Hunting in local DIY stores for a new flex was unsuccessful. Amazon delivered today. All replaced in half an hour. Saved £10s by not buying a new one and avoided throwing something still usable away.
