small tortoiseshell

Another chilly start to a glorious sunny day!  And we had no plans today so headed over to Canvey Wick nature reserve to get our exercise, watch some wildlife and watch some boats going along the Thames Estuary!

Lovely to see a few butterflies including this small tortoiseshell who was happy to pose - why aren't they all like that?!  - and also spotted a pheasant over there for the first time!

Caught up on paperwork this afternoon and sorted out our supermarket delivery order for tomorrow and now off to water a few plants as it's so dry again!
