Tarte rustique aux poires

The baking mania continues! Another recipe from my new book, using excess starter for the pastry. I've never made this style of tart before; I like the idea of slicing and arranging pears like this, without even bothering to peel them. Very slapdash by my standards!  It's also a change from my usual flaky, delicate French-style pastry. There's a layer of frangipane to make it extra delicious. Verdict later.
