On the nest

What a beautiful day of weather it was. We went to Largs and had a walk along the promenade to the point where the Noddsdale Water runs into the Firth of Clyde. Here there was a swan nesting only a few metres from the walkway. While we were there another three couples came up and took photos. The swan was unperturbed and carried on preening itself. It’s clearly used to humans and must be one of the most photographed swans in the area.
