Awoke to another beautiful day, the springtime and early summer is the best weather in Scotland I think.  Unusual though to get such a settled spell of weather.

Did a washing and got it out in the sun.  Cleaned the bathroom and toilet, and sanitised around the kitchen as it my habit.  Made coffee for the HG and I and sat out in the sunshine.

Himself said 'do you fancy a wee run to Balmaha?'..... well of course I did, so off we went.  Balmaha was not too busy; we heard that over the weekend, being the first weekend that restrictions were lifted, the road from Drymen was closed by the police, as there were so many cars on it, and it is a dead end.  Today was just nice, and we had a good walk and a seat on the lochside.

We had a burger and some tea at the little cafe, which is open for takeaway snacks. From next Monday all restaurants and bars will be open, so it will be much busier than today.

We had a nice trip home via Aberfoyle and the motorway.  We stopped at the Smiddy for an ice cream, but to our dismay they don't sell it!

My photos are both of Loch Lomond, the main one looking north to the summit of Ben Lomond on the right.   Loch Lomond was looking grand!
