I feel like I haven't posted a pictures of the puppies in a while, so here's Brooklyn rubbing her sleepy eyes. I swear, those dogs can sleep forever.

In other news, I attempted to bake breakfast muffins (with a strawberry jam middle) today. Instead of jam I used frozen strawberries and melted them with lemon until they were liquidy because I'm trying to cut back on sugar and that came out fabulous. But I can't say the same about the muffins. I don't know what went wrong, but a lot went wrong. Baking is definitely not my forte. I also made hot carob again! This time it came out way better because I added butter. I know that's not healthy but carob naturally has zero fat in it so it tastes really bitter and even when I added honey or sugar it still didn't taste good. So I added some butter and maple syrup and it tasted amazing. For anyone who has chocolate allergies or acid reflux (like me) and can't have chocolate I strongly recommend carob. Hot carob tastes just like hot chocolate without the consequences for me!

How I made Hot Carob:
A mug full of Milk (you don't want to make more than can fit in your cup).
A medium spoonful of Carob (I got my carob from Trader Joe's).
A spoonful of butter
As much sugar/honey/maple sugar as you desire to taste. (I used about two full caps of organic maple sugar, which I would think translates to 2 tbs).

Boil mixture while frequently stirring for a few minutes (but don't let it boil over), and enjoy!
