The First 100 Days
The newscasters here in the States keep referring to Obama's first hundred days. Honestly, I just think about the fun and lack of stress he could have had if he would have moved into blipland instead of the White House. ;-)
One hundred days ago I found Blipfoto, but I had not explored the site. I "Googled" for blogs and "Blipfoto" was one of the options. I simply wanted to find a place to write a daily journal. I guess I should have looked through lots of the individual journals to get a good idea of what I was joining. Actually if I had, I'm not sure that I would have joined. The talent, creativity, and amazing photography on this site are brilliant. Had I known that, I would have been intimidated and would have run the other way.
So about 3 days, if not 3 minutes, into this journey, I was grasping the caliber of the community I was blipping with. The only thing that kept me from running away then was the generous encouraging comments I was receiving. Gosh, I knew almost nothing about photography.
So I am full of thanks to ALL at Blipfoto:
Thank you Joe for creating this site.
Thank you everyone at Blip Central for keeping the site functioning (I love my Blip Badge!).
Thank you to ALL who have written encouraging comments. I could name dozens of you from all over the world, but I would surely forget someone and I don't want to do that. The world has certainly gotten smaller and friendlier in these 100 days.
Thanks to everyone for your creative photos and write-ups. I love looking at and reading them. I am addicted. That's actually more fun than posting my own.
I am here because I want to remember each day and that goal is being accomplished. That causes almost every blip to be my favorite; however, I will post links to my most favorite and the end of this page.
One hundred days has not flown by, instead I have savored each one and now I have a morsel from each that I can go back to revisit. I often tell my friends that I am not a photographer, so the daily photo is the price I pay to get to write. Well, now more than ever I realize the value of my investment. Today the dividend is immense -- and I've only just begun!
Thank YOU-- Thank YOU -- Thank You -- Thank YOU -- Thank YOU -- Thank YOU
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
P.S. If I could start my Blipfoto account again, I'd only make one change. I would use a colon rather than a comma in my title, but I understood too late that titles cannot be changed.
My blips are all favorites, so here are some of my MOST Favorite:
Mom, Me & Sis Years Ago
Dad & Me as a Bride
My Sophomore Teacher, Mr. Tindall
Grammie's Pansy Pie
Our Daughter
