Goodbye to R

We attended R's funeral today..  R was one of our neighbours and over the last five years became a friend.  He was a true gentleman and had a wicked sense of humour. 
 
He used to be a chef and for many years cooked for the Royal household, at Buckingham Palace, Balmoral and on the Royal Yacht Britannia, he was very loyal and rarely spoke about those days.  He carried his love of fine food into his retirement and he often joined us for some long, relaxed Sunday lunches and the occasional trip to Morston Hall.

We'll miss your company R, It'll be strange not to see you tending to your lovely garden.
