She has had a really tricky week. Working at a dead end job with people who are downright abusive. She feels a sense of despair about her future. Somehow she imagined that if she focused on her studies, there would be the promise of a career in the future. It's hard for her to stay positive when she is so far from home.

I hear this sentiment from so many young people in my life.
