Apple blossom

We decided to take a little vacation. We are dropping the dog at my sons in North Carolina then driving north!

The apple trees around Tates yard are blooming. Hoping the cold front moving through will not freeze them as it does sometimes...like last year. The plum trees are blooming too.

Tomorrow we will begin a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to where it ends in Virginia. Lots of stops for stretching Jerry’s knee and photo opportunities. We plan to continue on to the Shenandoah National Park and then on the return, we will head into West Virginia to visit the New River Gorge National Park, the newest national park in the US. I have been there before but Jerry has not.

I love road trips!

This morning I went out to check on the baby wrens and they had flown away! Yesterday they looked like the were still getting feathers!
