The Cob House

A few years back, a couple of friends built this Cob House. It took them a good wee while as they searched for suitable clay soil as the key ingredient in the Wall making.

But eventually it was completed and many a happy time was spent in the heart of it.

However with it being quite dark inside the decision was made to remove the roof and replace it with a Tarp.

Enough coverage to keep the rain out but also to let the light in.

Today the job got started!!
