Drifwood Shack

We went to the beach at Kingston today to see the driftwood shack we saw from across the river at Spey Bay when we were last there.  It’s about 8 meters long and about 3.5m high.  The inside was really interesting and had lots of interesting beach finds all over the place.  It even had a visitor’s book.  The beach stretches from Kingston all the way to Lossiemouth and is backed mainly by woodland and the moray coast trail so feels very remote when you are in the middle of the stretch of beach.  We were there last summer when the news was reporting huge crowds at beaches and I couldn’t see a single person in either directions.  It made me feel like Robinson Crusoe.  I found a video of the shack from the outside that you can see here.  Cut to 1min20 to see it.  The sides have been filled in a lot more since this video was taken.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aSxxar1piw
