It's a sure sign of how dry it's been and how hard the paths have become when you see skateboarders up on the moor!

Well, the European Super League thing shook out rather more quickly than could possibly have been expected. All power to the fans, and just about everyone else with a passing interest in football, for such a show of solidarity. The whole fiasco is a metaphor for corporate and political greed around the world. If only people could come together to protest against the more important travesties and injustices going on. It all comes down to inequality. Football is still mired in those problems and the only solution is to level things up, as it is everywhere. Perhaps this will genuinely be a catalyst for change.

The big owners have no skin in the game, literally no skin, no sensitivity to the game's history and its meaning. It's a reminder that one should never underestimate the staggering level of incompetence at the top of big organisations. How could they have been blind to the inevitable fall-out from such an ill-conceived and ridiculous concept? There's a disconnect between the decision-makers and the people those decisions most directly affect. It's much the same with the government.

There is so much to say but I'm exhausted from just following the news stream today. It was good to have a little prayer answered so quickly!
