Blackthorn

A walk with Dad in the rain. I think I've said before that he always tells me all about plants, archaeology, history and geology. Top 2 fun facts for the day:
- 5 petals, 5 anthers of blossoms in the apple, cherry family is unique to that family.
- that people often mistake blackthorn and hawthorn as the same plant. You can tell them apart because Blackthorn blossoms along the branch whereas hawthorn blossoms in bunches.
