Not busy in Bowness

Decided to take advantage of a) the nice weather 
 b) the fact the schools are back 
c) the hotels are closed.
So.. we went "up into the lakes" . Camera primed and ready but it was very hazy... no spectacular views . Nice to see the steamers are running. ( see extra)
We decided to call into Bowness as there  were a couple of shops I wanted to visit, to buy upcoming birthday presents.
Bowness was quiet. Even quieter than we expected . It was  very strange to see it so quiet. There wasnt a breath of wind. 
A nice stroll from Braithwaite Fold. We stopped for a quick coffee and pastry and it was wierd to see so few people.. ( see blip)
One of the shops I wanted to visit has gone ( a nuisance) but I did buy a nice field jacket in the sale at Lakeland Leather .. perfect for walkies with Fletch
I also bought 2 summery pattern cotton face masks in the hope they arent as stifling as the one I have. ( oh a year ago I couldn't have contemplated that I would   have had to wear a mask!! It still feels strange! )

 Back  at the car and the temperature was 17 degrees .. the warmest day of the year so far... for us.

Back home and there was a cold wind blowing from the sea.. UK weather!
