Fingers crossed

The last time I stopped for a train at a railway crossing it was at this very crossing and after the train had gone the arms refused to up. We had to wait for an age for a technician to come and fix it. This train was travelling from my left to right. A very short distance down the road the same train was travelling on a bridge above me from right to left my brain struggled to understand how and why it changed direction but yes there is a curve a bit further ahead from the crossing.
