A Red-necked Pademelon in the rainforest at Mary Cairncross Reserve in SE Queensland. Pademelons are a small version of kangaroo. There are 7 species in Australia.

The Mary Cairncross Reserve is a small (55 hectare) pocket of sub-tropical rainforest. We have visited it many times over the past 50 years. The nearest town is Maleny.

This is the same place I photographed a twisted Wonga Vine for yesterday’s blip. Today I include 2 more contorted vine photos as extras. The first is titled Knotty and the second Loopy.
