Cloudy sunset

Getting gear together for walking a trail in the mountains for a few days. Hubs assures me its not too hard core, but when he offered the choice to stay in a DOC (Dept of Conservation) hut or a cave I had to do a double take!
Spent the evening with Rich and Amiti, its been a very cloudy day and suddenly feels like autumn, there are a few leaves starting to drop and dew on the ground in the morning and eve. Hopefully its just a small taste of whats to come, we're all still in full summer mode and denial of anything else. Apparently this has been the best summer in 12 years. It has been glorious so far, all helping us fall in love with the place.
