Baba time with Bella and Evan this afternoon. 

I took them Michael Rosen's Sad Book and read it aloud, talked about things that make us sad, talked about how we express or hide our sadness, explored ways to make sadness hurt less. 

Their grandfather in Arizona was diagnosed with liver cancer last week and will have his first chemotherapy this week. They may leave as soon as Wednesday to go see him, or perhaps not. Much has to be worked out.
