Sweet Reminders

I never need help with being reminded of oldest. Like most moms, my mind goes to him so many times every day. Today was just one of those days that the reminders of his presence here with us just kept coming. Since he was literally moving to America for the foreseeable future, he took almost all of his belongings with him. I needed to do a clean out of school stuff to put in items for the current year, and I found all of oldest’s school papers and books. I was doing laundry for youngest and found some clothes that oldest inadvertently left behind in his laundry basket that now belongs to his brother. Then hubby was doing some work in the garden as we have been away for such a long time. Oldest has always loved mint and has always kept mint plants in the garden. We will definitely take care of them until he comes home, hopefully at Christmas, to have a cup of mint tea. So thankful for the sweet memories and that he is doing well at uni, but this mom sure misses him so.
