Project 365 day 108: peanut butter cookies

For the first time, I'm blipping a day late, having fallen asleep at the keyboard late last night. Sunday began very cold and frosty - we've had a week of very low overnight temperatures and heavy frosts, with a farmer just down the road recording minus five. It's a bit of a nuisance for the garden, as although I've been hardening off plants, I'm a bit reluctant for them to have to cope with such cold nights at this stage in their life. There were wonderful frosty stripes against blue sky on the velux windows in J's room when we got up just after seven. However, we've opted to post the cookie photo. Frosty windows are currently a far more common occurrence than home baked cookies. They are nice, and would be even better with a bit of dark chocolate drizzled over and some good vanilla ice cream on the side. Perhaps we'll try that tomorrow.
