Moorhen chick

Moorhen chicks have just hatched out at the castle moat.  There are four of them and they're very tiny.  They were walking around in the reeds this morning and a parent feeding them.  

Suddenly a coot swam near and the parent screeched then rushed out to the coot and sent it away (extras).  Although shy birds they agressively defend their brood at nesting time.
