Early Morning Light

I just love it when The Bossess decides to go walkies straight after grub with The Boss and ME.

Of course it is March and the mornings are much blacker than they were which seems to have got my internal clock mixed up a bit and I don't manage to get upstairs early enough to lick The Boss's neck before he gets out of bed. I will really have to try harder. I kno he likes it.
So there we were about 7.15pm +/- and The Boss is complaining that we will need to take flashlights to see the track and The Bossess boxed his ears Cos he was being sarkie I think and anyway we went out the door and down the road and the sun which had been hiding behind Mt Iron peeked out and The Boss smiled his little smile and swung his camera swing bag round and I knew it was going to be clunk time. Phew that was a bit of a mouthful, speaking of which the local council has reversed it's temporary decision to allow camping at the Waterfall creek end of the track and all the delicious smells that kept me well entertained, are fading and not being replaced with new ones. The Boss and most of Wanaka were delighted. I am sorry but I just don't share their enthusiasm but The Boss will not take me to the end on the beach again. Win some / lose some. Exec summary, a win I think.

The boss just loves it when the lake is so low. I do too as I get to explore below the water line.

PS. There were a couple of Spaniels there this morning. Boy, can I out swim them!!!
(They never got the stick)
