Final Farewell.

Today the Nation said farewell to HRH Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh. Mr Tbay and I did our jobs early so we could sit and watch the funeral of this remarkable man.

He had meticulously organised his own funeral wanting no fuss , and had even designed and had altered the Land Rover to carry his coffin. I don’t suppose he had ever thought that his last farewell would be under such strict conditions only allowing 30 mourners. But as they always do they stuck rigidly to the rules on the day.

It was a moving ceremony despite the restrictions and actually quite emotional. The Queen as ever was a model of dignity. How she got through this I just don’t know. She is a remarkable woman.
