Horeke

Here we are in Horeke on the Hokianga Harbour in Northland on the west coast.  We drove here from Auckland today.  We are staying at the Riverhead Historic Homestead B&B tonight.  The collage shows the homestead and two views looking from the verandah towards the Hokianga Harbour.  Tomorrow we are being shuttled to Opua on the east coast, from where we will cycle back as far as Kaikohe (45 kms) on the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. And Sod’s law, heavy rain is forecast, so wet weather gear will be required.
