Grumpy

This looks like a grumpy chocolate cake. We had Leo (9) Maddy    ( 11) and Max (13) here today as school has resumed for the teachers but not the students today. Maddy made this cake. After she put it in the oven I asked if she had greased the cake tin. No. At least she was prepared for the fact that the cake wouldn’t be easy to get out. It did come out in bits and she drizzled the icing over the top of the pile of cooked mix. It tasted nice but was a bit of a mess.

Bob took Max for a bike ride to search for some bike trails. He has just started riding out on his own and the support was welcome. I took M and L for a walk with our friend ( who happens to be their other grandfather) then we went shopping.

The rest of the day was spent packing the caravan whilst the kids hung out together. I don’t need to entertain them these days. We took Toby over to stay at Bryan and Kristy’s place as we don’t like leaving him home while we are away. He has never been away from home before so I hope he settles down and is happy with company and doesn’t run away. Fingers crossed.
