The dunes

A big area behind the high “primary” dunes, which show only sand and dune grass, is what you see in this picture- the secondary dune area. It is older and there is a thin layer of topsoil, so new plants like to grow there.

After a hot day, we went for a little walk, just alongside the road as I thought I needed a bit more exercise. That was a mistake after all. My knee started hurting....
