Great Great Great Grandad George
We haven't seen Mary in several months so we drove to her village early this morning and took a walk with her to the next village, Kellington, where Tony was hoping to locate several family graves for his ancestry research. Would you believe that the first gravestone we passed as we entered the churchyard was of his Great Great Great Grandad George?!
George was born in 1786, married twice, had twelve children, and died in 1844 at the age of just 59. His occupation is listed as Publican. We were successful in locating two more gravestones but many from the required era were damaged or overgrown.
Returning to Mary's house, we sat outside and had cuppas and choccy biccies before driving home the longer but more picturesque route. A quick sandwich and coffee in my travel mug and I was out to meet the Hobblers. Two of our Hobblers are recovering from injury/Covid and unable to run at the moment, so we went for a walk with them instead. There was much catching up, in fact I don't think we stopped talking all the way around the four mile circuit!
The Police had to be called to our local pub yesterday evening. Sadly too many youngsters causing too much trouble. We have to hope this lockdown bonkersness dies down soon.
