Pretty L'il Duck Pond/Lake

About 100 yards from Danielle and Kieran's new home is this pretty little duck pond/lake, also frequented by fishermen. In view is about a third of the area of water, which begs the question whether it is indeed a pond or a lake. 

According to the www if the water is deep enough that light does not penetrate to the bottom, and photosynthesis is limited to the top layer, the body of water is considered a lake. A pond is a body of water shallow enough to support rooted plants. Many times plants grow all the way across a shallow pond.

Ergo it's a lake.

I've always wanted to use the word ergo. Job done!
