Anyone for tea?

The newlyweds arrived to have afternoon  tea. They still haven't  been on Honeymoon  as it was cancelled last May, obviously  due to Covid. Despite  this the journey down from Aberdeen  was the first time that we had seen them since Christmas,  in a carpark.  We were outside all afternoon  and had a fabulous walk in the late afternoon  sun. As the temperature  dropped, the firepit re- emerged and warmed them as I made dinner  with  Ally. It was late  when they left and much later when they arrived home and sent the obligatory  text to say so. It used to be three rings when I was young. 

Tired, but much happier I slept soundly.
