Hawfinch

This is one of the most elusive of the finches in the UK however it is now a regular in our garden.  It visits the feeding station and drinks from our pond but it is particularly keen on the sunflower seeds that we put out on an old log.  It is an amazing opportunity to photograph such a beautiful and rare bird at close quarters.
