People everywhere

There were people everywhere to be seen today. Our local beer garden and car park (converted into seating area) was overflowing, whenever we drove past, and this was the theme everywhere. I'm pleased for those pubs that have reopened (outdoor only!) that the weather is boosting their coffers.

All 4 of us were booked into a spinning class this morning (hubby & both daughters & myself) and afterwards we treated ourselves to a drink on the gym terrace in the sunshine. I caught the sun! As you can see, the terrace was full and the atmosphere so different to what we've known to date. We joined the gym during Covid and have spent most of our time in the marquees (in the background) so we have never seen it "normal". Shortly afterwards, four men started to play tennis on the court and we were transported by the sound of the ball to summer and holiday vibes.

Back home, after lunch, we started to watch the funeral of Prince Philip on the BBC and were transfixed. What a beautiful and moving service with its readings and music, especially Psalm 104 set to music!
