Retro Dessert Night

There is nothing like a really old cook book when choosing a recipe. Tonight I whipped up an apple, pear and ginger trifle. Fruit cooked in cider, delicious. The illustrations in the books make me smile, how quickly fashion changes food and clothes! It looks retro in the little dishes
Visited my youngest at hospital today. We did a quiz and had a chat. Trying to lift her spirits. The rest of the day was full of chores and a walk into Dunblane.
