To Bragg Creek and Back
Just a little jaunt
so we could get out in the
sunshine and fresh air

It's been a few weeks since L. has been able to sit comfortably in a vehicle or drive one. Today seemed like the perfect opportunity to zip out for a drive. L used to own a house in the little hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta, just 27 miles to the west. That seemed like a good place to go.
We gassed up her SUV in Calgary and I drove her vehicle while she navigated.
The Rocky Mountains were shining white in the sun. Cyclists were everywhere. It's Saturday. All the road warriors were out enjoying the highways, roadways and trails.
All the recreation spots were clogged with vehicles and mobs of people.
We were not encouraged to stop and park anywhere on the route. I did not see one person wearing a mask.
The cold Elbow River flows past Bragg Creek. I got a shot of it from the bridge. Although the air temperature was 18 C before noon, I could be sure the river, which flows out of the Rocky Mountains, was a lot colder.
We enjoyed our drive, then headed home for a late lunch.
