More canal exploring

Today we did a new section of the canal, well, new to me but B has done this part before. We started from West Hill Tunnel and walked down to bridge 65. We walked past the Hopwood House Inn and also some fishing lakes and we could see a large reservoir. Charlie and Pierce were excited to find many new sniffs!

We saw lots of swallows dipping and diving low to catch insects by the reservoir. We also saw a mandarin drake and some long tailed tits.

We went back to B’s house and had a picnic in the local woods near her. We sat on a fallen tree. It was a good place to have a picnic.
