Sort of, anyway ;-)
Seeing as my car was filthy, I took the opportunity to get it washed properly now they're open. I would have done it myself, but after almost six months and two snows, the wheels were filthy and they needed a proper jet wash.
I felt like I got a lot of loose ends tied up today, and then in the afternoon we got to walk in the woods with Lucy. She was really excited, and apparently said "I can't believe I get to see all my people!". We were gone about two hours, and although it was sunny, it was pretty cold. We had fun - Lou wanted to hold our hands and lead us, jump off of all the logs, go on a 'broomstick' (which I had to carry the end of!) and had a general romp around the woods.
It was lovely to see her properly, and it makes me realised how much we've missed out on over the past year.
Somebody had cut out white paper eyes and stuck them on the trees, which was a good tool to help to get Lou out of the woods! She walked almost sideways trying to look at all of the others. We came upon a little ridge and she wanted to look over and see what was there (a dry stream). She was on her hands and knees, so I followed her, just in case she tipped over and went headfirst over the top...! I heard her say 'oh, yeah!" and I laughed and said, "oh Lou, do you love the woods?"
