Tommy
Last night we enjoyed the dinner at the golf club, it was very comfortable and warm sitting inside the marquee as they had heaters on the table lights above each table and we were also given rugs. The tables were spaced so far apart there was no concern about being near anyone else and even at our own table the chairs were spaced about 2m apart. It felt lovely to be out again although admittedly there wass no convivial atmosphere when seated like that, not the same as being inside a buzzing restaurant.
It was a beautiful sunny day today, I was pleased for the royal family that they had good weather for the funeral of Prince Philip. It was expertly carried off, given that they have no had that much time to practice all the pomp and circumstance (albeit pared back) that accompanies a funeral of this nature. I got tears in my eyes watching it, and I cannot believe that the most hardened Republican out there would not be moved by the sight of the queen standing there alone looking so tiny in her black outfit with her black mask covering her face.
Tommy is going back to university tomorrow - term only starts at the end of the month but he wants to settle in and focus on his work as he has exams coming up soon. I thought it was a good opportunity to take a photo of him before he goes - I like the sunlight on his hair even though the highlights are blown in some places.
I am really enjoying the Spanish dubbed Who Killed Sara on Netflix, 2 more episodes to go!
