Still red

About forty years ago I bought a dozen red tulip bulbs. They have been remarkably good value because over the years they have spread progressively across the garden. Mostly they have stayed red, but in some cases they have reverted to yellow. There are plenty more yet to come, more blips.

We have spent the afternoon watching Prince Philip’s funeral on tv. Prince Philip designed the service down to every detail, and it was very thoughtful and moving. He leaves a void in the life of the Queen, but also in the nation.
