Poetry Evening

After a very productive afternoon sowing seeds in pots in the polytunnel, it was good to chill out for a few hours and listen to the poems of Seamus Hogan and Pol O Colmain. The event was hosted at The Hub, a cafe run by volunteers in Ballydehob. This is Pol reading, he is passionate about the Irish language and reads in both Irish and English, he spent 11 years living on The Blaskett Islands and many of his poems recall those times. As a lover of small Islands myself, where one can get to know every intimate detail of one's environment and be surrounded by the sea I especially love these poems, a taster here for anyone interested.
