Pond life

This is a Dusky Moor Hen in the lily ponds at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. In the same pond (extra) was a prehistoric-looking water dragon. 

This impressive botanic garden was established in the 1820s and has many mature trees well over 100 years old. It is, I suspect, the third oldest botanic garden in Australia, after Sydney and Hobart. 

We did the tourist thing today with lots of city walking - Botanic Garden, City Museum and Art Gallery.
