Refreshing

Took a couple of kids to HQ to be awarded this shield. They were very proud, as was I.

It was for the most number of children walking, cycling or scootering to school in the locality.

There was a winner for every Borders High School Catchment and a winning High School - Hawick.

A very social event and we were well entertained in the Councillors Chamber - kids were more than impressed!

Had a late training session back at HQ this evening - so clocked up a fair few miles today - glad to be home by 8.30pm. The bonus is that I popped into M&S at Gala and got some treats - I need them! Salad boxes, prawns and mixed seed rolls. I bought some mini choc eggs for the staffroom - hope they enjoy them!

My dad continues to sleep and wakens for a wee chat occasionally. My sister visited today and I will return tomorrow for the weekend - Mum needs help more than dad at the moment!! Tough times at a distance!
