Wood Anemones in the wood

Growing on a mossy mound of old wood, I thought these ones looked particularly happy in this spot, and really pretty too.

Another really pleasant day here, but a bit of stress and worry connected to the newborn lambs and pregnant ewes that are in the field just opposite my house. Was good to finally get a walk and go exploring in the woods, well away from any sheep!

Tomorrow I will be going much further away....in fact the furthest I'll have been for over a year. We have to drive our daughter back down to Edinburgh where she's a student still (in her final semester). Normally she'd go back on the train, but she's taking extra belongings back with her this time, in preparation for moving into a new flat.
