Spuds planted

I spent the late morning/ early afternoon working in the garden. A variety of job, but most importantly planting up our spuds.

In the pots there are Casablanca (Early), Desiree (Maincrop) and Charlotte ( Salad). In the blue trough there is dozen Arran Pilot (First early) and a second half dozen Charlotte. It will be interesting to see how they fare.

You will see that the trough has protection to prevent Amber jumping in after the sparrows. They congregate in the hedge behind the fence and swoop in and out teasing her.

I joined B and Amber on a walk round the village this afternoon.  It was busier than recently, the pub had plenty of customers in their new outdoor area which has taken up a great chunk of their car park. One of the shop has change from a cafe to ice cream parlour. Need to check it out.

R called in on her way home from work, a surprise visit. She has twice weekly testing so was safe to join us in the house. Amber was so excited to see her, so we’re we to be honest :0) We caught up on all of the news as it has been a busy week.

I’ve had to swap pictures as the first was too big. In the extras you have the spuds that were planted.
