Lonely

This is the lodge that we walk past on many of our walks.  Through the winter there were no birds at all then the geese came back.  Three, then two and now just one!  His partner is sitting on their nest and we are waiting hoping that there will be babies soon!  I don’t know how long the eggs take to hatch.   Meanwhile each time we pass by the lonely parent swims from the other side to say hello!   I keep forgetting to bring food.
