An Unexpected Diversion

On my weekly walk round the hill and was met down at Holyrood with a ‘Road Closed’ sign on Queen’s Drive, no problem to a man on his feet I thought, further up the walk another road block this time manned with rangers directing walkers up round a path up towards St Leonards Path which involved a steep incline to the left of the image above. The reason the road was closed was due to the rock stabilisation that I’ve mentioned in the past and on Monday some of the rocks the guys were removing were making their way down on to the Road, hence the closure. Still didn’t put me off and I may well add the diversion to my Arthur Seat alternate routes.
