Pentlands' Heaven
It's Friday; the sun was up high; so it just had to be a 'Pentlands-expedition day' - and we were able to head all the way out to Carlops (in the Scottish Borders, no less) and actually *start* our walk from there!
And what an utterly stunning day for "The Mount & Patie's Hill circuit" - with absolutely no-one else (really, not one other person!) on this oft-overlooked side of Pentlands-tops.
Main snap shows the North Esk Reservoir as we descended "The Mount"; 1st extra, a small footbridge crossing the North Esk, near the start of the walk; 2nd extra, the far-distant main Pentlands ridge, with the point of West Kip visible; 3rd extra shows one of the waymarkers along the route; 4th extra, the main Pentlands ridge a bit closer now, as we descend "Patie's Hill".
Just sheer bliss :-)
