Freedom ..........
I don’t think I shall ever take for granted the ability to just be “outside” and enjoy LIFE!
We have been released from quarantine and we are just over the moon. And don’t even have to wear masks anymore. It’s just unbelievable! We left the hotel and made it across to our next hotel, which we’d booked for just one night. There was some drama in between, but we got it sorted.
We haven’t had to make instant decisions for two weeks and ordering a coffee and croissant, straight after coming out of quarantine, really did do my head in!
Checked in and then got picked up for our tour of the Barossa Valley. Lots of pics in extras. There were 19 other people on our tour and it was just the right amount. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, hilarious and super friendly.
We visited 4 wineries and each one had unique character and wines. We did make some purchases which will be delivered to us in Queensland next week :).
It was soooo good to be out in fresh air and enjoy the beautiful Australian countryside, trees, birds, smell of the earth. Just amazing. Quite an emotional time for Martin too.
Back to Adelaide, and a little rest before heading to Central Markets to meet up with friends from HK who moved here a year ago and whose birthday is also today. We met at a Chinese restaurant and had a fabulous meal which reminded us soo much of home.
It’s been an absolutely fantastic first birthday in Australia, so many wonderful memories to cherish. I’ve loved being with my three favourite people, enjoying our freedom and celebrating today.
Today really is the start of our new life here. The adventure begins ....
